We automatically set up a number of fields when your account is created. Some of these fields are necessary for our functionality, and some are just a suggestion so that you won't have to start with a blank slate. Below you'll find an overview of the default fields for both contacts and companies.

Both the default fields and the suggested fields can be moved between field categories and have their names edited, but only the suggested fields can be deleted. For more information on how to edit fields, see the article Managing Custom Fields.

Start date Date The date that the contact started working at their most recent company. (suggested)
